in the pouring rain most of the crowd staid in their seats -- stayed in their seats. the giants face the tigers at at&t park on wednesday. gary radnich is here with more on this victory and what the team can expect in the world series. >> here we go. we roll it out, 43,056 fans at the park in san francisco. st. louis had one shot here in the top of the second. trailing 1-0. matt cain bought this leaping catch from crawford to save two runs and from there it was all giants. matt cain worked into the 6th. threw 122 pitches. hunter pence breaking from his slump. bases clearing number. 5-0 giants. st. louis outscored the final three games of the series 20-1. 20-1. you got to check out the

nute nute the -- new tonight at 11:00 p.m., the makers of monster drinks are facing a lawsuit. it was filed in california. it claim as teen died from

drinking the drinks. the family is suing for failing to warn about the drink's dangers. monster says it is saddened by the death but does not believe they are responsible. the fda received reports of 5 deaths involving monster energy drinks but the fda hasn't established a link in any of the cases. rain off and on throughout the day, continuing at this hour. are we going to see rain wednesday for the giants game? i will have the answer coming up. presidential debate tonight in florida. the two sparred over foreign policy, including the middle east and china. mitt romney said the president's policies are making america look weak. >> governor romney the problem is that on a whole range of issues whether it is the middle east, whether it is afghanistan, whether it is arach, whether it is now -- iraq, whether it is iran, you are all over the map. >> one of the challenges we had with iran they have looked at the administration and felt the administration was not as strong as it needed to be. they saw weakness where they expected to find american strength and the president began an apology tour of going to nations in the middle east and criticizing america. >> nothing governor romney said is true. starting with this notion of me

$249 to $349. it has been a wet day today. rainfall totals varied around the bay area. redwood city almost an inch and a quarter of rain. santa rosa nearly the same amount. concord 3/4 of an inch. oakland half inch and less in san jose and livermore. a live look outside, right now on storm tracker 4, seeing rainfall in places like san rafael and other portions of the north bay, inland valley, south bay again. moderate rainfall continuing as we look at future cast. pinpointing cells into the 2:00 hour. spotty like we are seeing right now. 7:00, nothing much, areas of rain over harward. 10:00, spotty showers as well. i think we will see more

activity than what future cast is seeing. we are under a general thunderstorm outlook for tomorrow into the afternoon. things could be picking up in fairfield, delta, north bay, it is mostly for the north bay and we could see brief periods of heavy rain. wednesday morning we will see a more steady pattern pushing in. we have more widespread rain, wednesday at midnight. 4:00, rain over the north bay. 9:00, pushing south of the golden gate bridge. by noon lightening up. later afternoon hours, the giants hosting the tigers, world series, game one, 5:07 p.m., temperatures cool but it looks like it will stay dry for world series game one and world series game two. a look at your extended

all right. good evening, everybody. bring on the world series! the signs are out tonight. pretty cute there with president obama speaking and here is the game. one more time. st. louis down 1-0. crawford doesn't make that catch cardinals have a 2-1 lead. from there on matt cain was the boss and the offense blew st. louis away. through the middle matt cain, 2- 0 giants. to the 3rd inning, bases are loaded, a line drive knuckleball off the bat of hunter pence brings in three giants to make it 5-0 and the ball game was pretty much over. kicked around out in center field. allows buster posey to be the third runner to cross and matt

cain finished up with the crowd going crazy. 5 hits, did not allow a run. 102 pitches. he wasn't, you know, just pinpoint tonight but the cardinals don't score. the offense e. and bruce bochy pushing all the right buttons. 9th inning, marco scutaro enjoying the rain. if this were a close game they would have had to stop things because the field was unplayable. yep. but there it is. the final out. marco scutaro, we will talk more about him in a moment. but giants outscore the cards 20-1 over the last three games to win in 7.
